Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Brownstown is seeking a part-time Patient Registration Rep for the Emergency room, a fast-paced environment where teamwork and clear communication are essential.

You will handle patient registration, verify insurance, and cash collections while advocating for patient needs, contributing to a welcoming first impression and smooth access to care.

The role requires every other weekend and rotating holidays, with a 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. shift and around 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in and preregistration.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and handle cash collections.
• Update patient registration and insurance information.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf.
• Provide efficient and effective customer relationship management, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs.

This position is in our Emergency room in Brownstown, which is a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and communication are imperative in this role.

This position requires every other weekend and rotating Holidays.

The shift for this position is 7p-330a, can included midnight (1030p-7a) coverage if needed,

This is a part time position and you will work around 20 hours per week.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• EPIC training/experience and ICD-10 medical terminology experience.
