Job summary

Kaleida Health in Williamsville, NY is seeking a Part-Time Patient Access Services Clerk to manage inpatient and outpatient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification. You will prepare charts and collect demographics and consents to support treatment authorization and financial clearance.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of clerical experience; Kaleida Health registration experience is preferred. Schedule: 1pm-9pm or 3pm-11pm, onsite.

• Interview patients/guarantors to obtain demographics and confidential information for scheduling and authorization.

Under the direction of the Site Manager or Supervisor, Patient Access Services, this position is responsible for completing the inpatient and outpatient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, financial clearance processes, chart preparation, and creating the first impression of Kaleida Health’s services to patients, family members and other external customers. Additional responsibilities include interviewing patients/guarantors to obtain demographic and confidential clinical and financial information necessary to appropriately schedule, register, obtain treatment authorizations and verify insurance eligibility and corresponding benefit levels. Critical to this position is the ability to gather and record all appropriate information, consents and forms that lay the groundwork for the remaining or future fiscal efforts of Kaleida Health.
