Job Description Summary:

Hiring Range From $20

The Specialist, Patient Registration, is responsible for facilitating new patients' transition to Option Care Health services, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience where patients and referral partners feel that Option Care Health makes it easy to transition care. The Specialist works in conjunction with Sales to prepare patients for OCH services and facilitates all aspects of the patient’s transition to home/AIS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
  • Creates, communicates, and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
  • Secures patient’s upfront payment, including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance programs).
  • Supports ongoing activities to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on missing paperwork).
  • Assists Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum of two years of related experience required.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be detail-oriented with a high quality focus.

High level of customer service skills required.

Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales and operations.

Not applicable.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests

Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Salary range based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal and market considerations. Pay Range: $16.69 - $27.82
