Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) in Prescott, AZ is seeking a Registrar to provide essential clerical support for our caregivers by managing patient registration and related processes.

You will handle registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service collections, ensuring accurate data input and strict confidentiality in line with financial regulations and EMR usage.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Previous experience in a clerical setting.
• Typing speed 30 wpm.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Registers/pre-registers patient in a timely manner, minimizing wait times.
• Obtains accurate and complete patient information for the registration process.
• Completes medical record requests within department guidelines.
• Documents payer related information, patient issues, physician office communications and account communications in the system.
• Ensures correct forms are filled out and signed for each registration and payer-related forms.
• Explains and provides patient handouts (Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Advance Directives, Financial Assistance, etc.).
