Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience; 2 years preferred in a medical practice environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and basic computer skills; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct phone calls; follow Hospital etiquette guidelines.
• Register patients and verify/update demographics in the EHR.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; collect copays at check-in.
• Maintain office records and logs; screen calls and messages for urgency.
• Support staff and maintain confidentiality per MHS Standards of Excellence.
