Job summary

Adena Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a detail‑oriented Patient Registrar to serve as the first point of contact for patients and their families. You will register and pre-register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and handle on‑site collections with accuracy and a friendly demeanor.

The role requires strong computer and typing skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and prior experience in a medical office using an electronic health record system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of previous medical office experience preferred with prior experience using an electronic health record.
• Proficient computer and typing skills; strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Registering and Pre-Registering Patients.
• Verifying Patients Identification, Demographic Information, and Insurance Information.
• Point of Service cash collections, co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance.
• Obtaining consent for medical treatment and other compliance as necessary.
• Accurate data entry and scanning of patient documents (insurance cards, ID, directives).
• Working with The Patient Registration System, EMR, and Data Pay.
