Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a Patient Registrar to join our team. The role involves interviewing patients, collecting account information, verifying insurance, and ensuring accurate registration. You will provide excellent customer service, handle pre-certifications, collect patient liability, and help ensure efficient patient flow.

This is a day shift role, Monday through Friday, with no remote options. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or at bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts
• Ensure signatures for treatments are obtained
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow and productivity standards
• Interview incoming patients and responsible parties to obtain demographical info with insurance and financial information
• Verify benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status via Passport or online/phone
• Enter authorization/referral numbers into the registration system
