• Experience coordinating referrals and handling insurance workflows.
• Ability to obtain insurance authorizations and verify eligibility.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process physician, hospital, and outpatient referrals.
• Schedule patients, obtain insurance authorization, and advise on coverage.
• Coordinate with offices and facilities to ensure timely appointments and tests.
• Capture accurate patient demographics and medical information in EMR.
• Verify orders for appointments, tests, and procedures and communicate prep details.
• Provide follow-up and maintain referral status through to closure.
• Generate weekly referral volume reports for leadership.
