Qualifications

• Completion of accredited medical terminology course or equivalent on-the-job training.
• One year of progressively responsible work experience in healthcare admin.
• Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and referrals.
• Ability to learn and comply with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full lifecycle of patient referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications.
• Verify insurance eligibility and secure necessary authorizations.
• Schedule patient appointments and provide cost estimates and benefits information.
