Job summary

Barrington James Limited is seeking a driven Patient Partner Manager to lead recruitment operations across multiple clinical trials, ensuring enrollment milestones, protocol compliance, and high-quality screening. You’ll directly engage patients and manage a growing team of recruitment specialists, while coordinating marketing efforts and maintaining CTMS accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (health-related field a plus); equivalent experience considered
  • Prior experience in a clinical research environment strongly preferred
  • Proven people leadership — experience managing, coaching, and holding a team accountable to KPIs (individual-contributor-only recruitment experience is not a fit)
  • Comfort engaging directly with senior clinical stakeholders (medical directors, heads of clinical operations)
  • Digital/print marketing or social media experience a plus
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce) and CTMS systems
  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial processes, disease states, and GCP principles

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Operations: Own recruitment activity across all active trials, ensuring enrollment volume, protocol compliance, and visit readiness
  • Recruitment Operations: Conduct direct patient recruitment via phone, text, and email — screening for eligibility and guiding patients from first contact through enrollment
  • Recruitment Operations: Maintain accurate CTMS documentation and keep sponsor/CRO recruitment portals current
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of Patient Recruitment Specialists, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Team Leadership: Set individual goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback
  • Team Leadership: Interview, hire, and train new team members
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track and report recruitment KPIs weekly at recruiter, protocol, and indication level
  • Reporting & Analytics: Monitor campaign effectiveness — cost-per-randomization, screen fail rates, yield by source
  • Reporting & Analytics: Use data to drive ongoing enrollment optimization
  • Marketing & Campaigns: Develop and execute per-protocol advertising campaigns independently and with outside vendors
  • Marketing & Campaigns: Own the recruitment advertising budget, allocating spend for maximum ROI
  • Marketing & Campaigns: Secure IRB approval for all patient-facing materials and keep site/trial web pages current
  • Marketing & Campaigns: Maintain a social media content calendar to sustain patient engagement
  • Compliance: Operate in accordance with GCP, protocol requirements, and applicable regulatory standards

We're looking for a driven, hands-on Patient Partner Manager to lead patient recruitment operations and drive consistent, high-quality enrollment across a portfolio of clinical trials. This role blends direct patient engagement, team leadership, marketing oversight, and data-driven performance management — ideal for someone who thrives on ownership and applies structured thinking in a fast-moving, multi-study environment.

What You'll Do

Recruitment Operations
