Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking candidates for patient-facing roles that support patient observation and daily care. A High School diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to move with patients and stand for periods.

The role requires working in isolation precautions environments and is preferred for those with prior hospital experience or nursing assistant training. Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association is required prior to performing patient observation.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• The ability to stay mobile according to the patients' movement including the ability to stand for periods of time.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Previous work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, Nurse Aide Training, or current Nursing/Psychology student are all preferred.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required prior to performing patient observation.
