Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking patient care support professionals to assist in inpatient settings, with emphasis on mobility and patient movement.

Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED, be capable of standing for extended periods, work in isolation precautions, and possess BLS certification prior to patient observation. This role supports our clinical teams in providing safe, compassionate care and ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during daily activities and care

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• The ability to stay mobile according to the patients' movement including the ability to stand for periods of time.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Previous work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, Nurse Aide Training, or current Nursing/Psychology student are all preferred.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required prior to performing patient observation.
