Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is seeking a Full Time Observation Specialist to monitor patients under observation, ensuring safety for patients and staff within a high-level medical center in Las Vegas. The role requires a high school diploma and experience in healthcare settings.

Preferred candidates have CPI training knowledge, acute care experience, and flexibility to cover all shifts, including graveyard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPI training or techniques.
• Experience observing patients in healthcare settings within last 3 years.
• Experience in an Acute Care or similar setting.
• Availability to work all shifts, including graveyard, seven days a week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor movements of patients under observation to maintain patient and staff safety.
• Assist in maintaining overall safety of patients and staff in the observation unit.
