Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Observation Assistant(s) at UK Kings Daughters in Ashland, KY 41101. Positions available: full-time and part-time with rotating schedules.

The role provides visual and audible observation under the direction of a Registered Nurse, with reporting duties and patient safety responsibilities. Requires high school diploma and CPR/BLS; prior healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Remains at the bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Escalates to nurse when distress or unsafe behavior occurs.
• Assists in keeping the patient environment safe and orderly.

Education
