Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services in Wichita, KS seeks a Patient Observation Assistant to monitor patients under RN guidance and assist with their safety and comfort. The role supports hospital staff during rounds, with emphasis on timely reporting and compassionate patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Escalates concerns to nursing staff as needed.
• Assists with patient safety and comfort during care.
