Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Temporary Patient Care Associate for constant observation of patients identified as at risk. You will follow RN directions, perform essential care tasks, document patient status, and communicate changes to nurses promptly.

The role requires able handling of monitoring duties, documentation, and patient safety, with an emphasis on confidentiality and adherence to hospital guidelines. This position is onsite and involves shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Maintain constant observation of patient.
• Document the care of patient under observation.
• Keep nurse informed of changes in the patient's condition.
• Assist patient in the event of a fall.
• Receives and provides detailed handoff information from/to staff regarding the patient and their status.
• Assists with feeding patient(s) as directed by the RN.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients at risk under RN direction.
• Record patient observations accurately and timely.
• Provide handoffs to staff with current patient status.
• Assist with feeding and mobility as directed by nursing staff.
