Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to manage receipt, interpretation, and follow-through of patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. You act as a liaison between patients and the Food and Nutrition Services and Nursing Services.

You will deliver trays, collect preferences, communicate patient needs, and ensure nutrition orders are followed while maintaining sanitation standards. The role may require lifting and extended standing.

Qualifications

• English language fluency required.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.
• Role may involve lifting and extended standing.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Communicates all patient food needs to the appropriate area of Food and Nutrition Services.
• Ensures nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and completes sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance when needed.
• Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.
