Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Dietary Support Specialist to improve patients' well-being by providing nutritional care and following up with patients. This role coordinates meal plans with healthcare professionals and takes orders.

You will monitor meal tickets, process new diets and changes, and communicate nutritional information to other health professionals. A high school diploma and 0-3 years of experience are required; call center experience in healthcare is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0-3 years of prior experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
• Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
• Assists with meal selections while considering cultural and/or religious preferences.
• Monitors patient meal tickets—reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet orders.
• Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
