The primary purpose of the Treasury Assistant position is to ensure all payments received by each Penn State Health entity are deposited accurately into the appropriate financial institution and related account, batched and reconciled in our internal system, and communicated to appropriate departments. Treasury Assistant II employees are proficient in executing all Level I tasks. They follow all procedures and are able to adapt them to the needs of the department. Their daily tasks also include non-routine assignments. Their knowledge about Treasury processes allows them to research items and resolve some issues. They can make decisions within their assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
