Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional Medical Assistant training preferred.
• Prior experience in a medical office or outpatient clinic is desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to support patients compassionately.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and standard office software; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, document medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and exams as needed.
• Greet patients, answer messages, and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage follow-up communications.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and verify coverage when necessary.
• Manage patient records, update EMRs, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support providers with test results and care coordination.
