Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant to support patient meal planning and delivery in our Colorado facility. You will interact with patients, record meal preferences, and ensure accurate tray assembly and delivery.

The role requires reading, writing and basic math, plus 1–2 years in nutrition services and a friendly, customer-focused demeanor. Training on food handling and safety is provided, with potential bilingual advantages.

Qualifications

Reading, writing and mathematical skills are required.
1–2 years of related experience in nutrition services is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
Able to follow safety guidelines for chemicals and cleaning.
Experience with business software and POS systems is a plus.
Willingness to learn nutrition services and portion measures.
At least 2 shifts per month commitment.
Background checks and health screenings are required.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Bilingual skills are a plus in some assignments.

Responsibilities

Visit patients to discuss and select menu options based on dietary orders.
Record daily patient meal selections and preferences.
Edit patient menus as needed and support tray setup.
Prepare and portion foods, assemble patient trays, and deliver meals.
Provide customer service by phone and in person; resolve complaints.
Maintain food handling and sanitation standards; ensure safety compliance.
Interact with patients, families, and staff including dietitians and dietetic technicians.
