Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Customer service and/or food service experience preferred, but not necessary. On job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, sets, and serves all food as directed ensuring proper temperatures and portion sizes.
• Performs minor food preparation and portioning tasks in accordance with departmental policy.
• Prepares and gathers items needed for snacks and breaks and ensures they are delivered to the proper areas.
• Helps in tray assembly and delivers trays to patients per procedures.
• Uses two patient identifiers to ensure patient safety and checks tray accuracy and nutrition order compliance.
• Ensures proper tray placement and assists patients with opening tray elements; checks for additional items as needed.
• Picks up soiled trays and returns them for cleaning and storage; maintains food quality and temperature.
