Job summary

UHS in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time Food Services worker to ensure quality meals for patients, staff and visitors. Duties include preparing snacks, trays and beverages while maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen environment.

The role requires shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with weekend and holiday rotation. High School Diploma preferred and prior hospital food service experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Training and experience in quantity food preparation in a hospital, long term care, or with educational food service programs
• High School Diploma preferred
• Requires 6-hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assures that quality food services are rendered to patients, employees, visitors, Medical Staff, and other allied health professionals in accordance with the standards, rules and regulations of all regulatory agencies and established Hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Prepares patient snacks, sets patient trays, serves staff meals, assists in preparation and service of beverages, vegetables, salads and desserts as assigned
