Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to support our hospital's food service program in cafeteria, main kitchen, and patient tray line. The role involves cash handling, meal prep, and ensuring sanitation and safety standards.

The position is 20 hours per week with rotating weekends, Monday–Friday 3:30 PM–8:30 PM, with no schedule flexibility. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, a current Food Handler Certificate, and

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Food Handler Certificate (or within 30 days of hire).
• Previous experience in a food service setting.
• Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.

Aufgaben

• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Assemble food and supply requisitions for the department.
• Maintain knowledge of patient trayline positions and assembly.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines per regulatory standards.
• Set up meals at designated stations and dispense per policy.
• Operate equipment and ensure clean work areas.
• Maintain adequate supply of dishes and utensils.
