Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Requires two to three weeks on the job training to become proficient.

Responsibilities

• Portions, serves and replenishes freshfood items for patients.
• Sets up/refills beverage station; keep condiment bins stocked and cleaned.
• Cleans all stations/areas in the kitchen and ensures sanitation standards are met.
• Checks that food and utensils are available on the patient serving line.
• Arranges items on patient trays for neatness and attractiveness.
• Moves lines (dish room and tray line) quickly without rushing others.
• After meals, return food items to proper place and date items in cooler.
• Turns on/off steam table and checks temperature and cleanliness after meals.
• Deliveries to units are quiet and timely; notify nursing as needed.
