Job summary

The Nutrition Services Associate at Mercy Health is responsible for assembling, preparing and delivering meals that meet patient diet orders while ensuring safe food handling and courteous patient service. The position requires daily engagement with staff and patients and adherence to health guidelines.

Candidates with prior food service or customer service experience are preferred, with on-the-job training provided. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write clearly in English.
• Ability to communicate with staff and patients professionally.
• Basic arithmetic for meals and portions.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders and patient requirements.
• Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures.
• Restocks areas to meet department demands.
• Prewash, wash and sanitize cooking and serving equipment per procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
