Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation, assembly, and delivery of patient meals. The role involves processing correct diets, coordinating room service orders, and supporting patient meal service under the Nutritional Services team.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and familiarity with hospital safety policies. This is a non-exempt, full-time role with on-site responsibilities and patient-facing duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English with good verbal communication.
• Previous networked computer experience preferred and basic typing skills.
• Knowledge of hospital safety policies and standard precautions.

Responsibilities

• Processes correct diets and portions for all age groups from pediatrics through elderly adults.
• Assesses floor stock needs in patient unit kitchens.
• Process Room Service orders and assist patients with meal requests and callbacks.
• Take phone calls and fax orders for all food requests and update the diet change system.
• Coordinate am/pm nourishment orders and delivery of tube feeding and oral supplements.
