Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a part-time food service associate to assemble and deliver patient meals according to diet guidelines, while maintaining sanitation and service standards.

You may operate a cash register, assist with catering events, and support cafeteria service. No formal education is required, with opportunities to learn on the job and work a mix of shifts during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in food service from within a hospital, hotel, restaurant or a related environment.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Good communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office or similar products.
• Ability to use e-mail and internet.

Responsibilities

• Assembles patient and mobile meal trays according to diet guidelines and productivity standards.
• Delivers patient meal trays to patient rooms following procedures.
• Operates cash register and handles cash and daily reports as needed.
• Performs cleaning duties and sanitation in kitchen and cafeteria.
• Prepares and presents snacks, beverages, sandwiches and other patient items per recipes.
• Assists with catering events and special promotional days.
