Job summary

Advocate Health Oshkosh facility seeks a Food Service Associate to assemble patient meals, deliver trays, and assist in the cafeteria. You will stock, cash‑handle, and maintain sanitation in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role demands attention to dietary guidelines, safe food handling, and teamwork with clinical and dining staff. No formal education is required; accommodating shifts include weekends and evenings with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in food service from within a hospital, hotel, restaurant or related environment.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Good communication and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office or similar products. Ability to use e-mail and internet.

Responsibilities

• Assembles patient and mobile meal trays according to approved guidelines and productivity standards.
• Loads and transports food carts and delivers patient trays to rooms per procedures.
• May assist visitors in cafeteria, operate cash register, and complete daily reports.
• Performs cleaning duties and sanitation in kitchen and cafeteria.
• Assists with catering events and presentation of major catering.
• Prepares snacks, beverages, sandwiches and other patient items per recipes and portions.
• Prepares, arranges and replenishes supplies in retail areas and kitchens.
• Delivers and stocks nursing units, lounges, and ERs per procedures.
• Monitors food temperatures to ensure safe handling and prevent illness.
