Job summary

Ladgov Corporation seeks a Food Service Worker at MOMMC, Nellis AFB, NV. You will assist in patient and staff dining, prepare and portion basic items, operate kitchen equipment, and maintain sanitary areas while delivering courteous service.

Shift is full-time, Monday–Friday, up to 40 hours, with schedules issued in advance. This role requires dependability, basic food-handling knowledge, and the ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current Food Handler's Card or certificate.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred, maintained at candidate’s expense.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain government vehicle authorization.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• English reading, writing, and speaking fluently.
• Knowledge of basic food-handling, hygiene, sanitation, infection-control practices.
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, schedules, and safety data sheets.
• Basic arithmetic for measuring and portioning food.
• Ability to use Outlook and timekeeping software.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to pass background screening and health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches, salads, fruit and other basic items.
• Portion food into established serving sizes with proper utensils.
• Assemble trays and deliver meals to patients and staff.
• Label and store unused food and document expiration dates.
• Brew coffee using commercial equipment.
• Set up cafeteria lines, dining areas, and utensils.
• Restock utensils, cups, beverages, and snacks during service.
• Monitor freezer, refrigerator, and hot/cold food temperatures.
• Apply sanitation practices to prevent contamination and waste.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and kitchen equipment.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and sinks.
• Sweep, mop, and buff floors in dining areas and kitchens.
• Perform heavy cleaning tasks as required.
• Handle waste and dispose of trash properly.
• Follow safety, HIPAA, and facility policies.
• Identify shortages or unsafe conditions and report them.
• Provide courteous service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Complete duties accurately and on time.
• Attend required orientations and trainings.
