Job summary

Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health in Leland, NC is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our onsite kitchen team. The role supports meal preparation, serving to patients and staff, and maintaining clean, safe dining areas. Shifts run 12:00pm–8:00pm, five days a week.

You will assist cooks, stock supplies, and ensure proper food handling and storage. The ideal candidate has HS diploma and experience in institutional food service; SERV Safe certification preferred where required by state.

Qualifications

• Understands safe food handling procedures.
• One or more years’ experience in institutional food service.
• Ability to operate dishwasher, stoves, ovens, mixers and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean and sanitize kitchen cookware and utensils.
• Assist cooking staff in meal preparation and serving.
• Stock supplies and assist with deliveries and inventory.
• Maintain clean kitchen and dining areas per policy.
• Assist with proper labeling and storage of leftovers.
• Transport and wash all dishes; record dish machine temperatures.
• Provide information to nursing staff regarding patients’ responses to foods.
