Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation, tray delivery, and meal service for patients/residents. You will follow established guidelines for storing, serving, and transporting food and supplies, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.

The role requires basic literacy, willingness to learn, and likely on-the-job training. Experience in food service or long-term care dietary is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On-the-job training is provided.
• Preferred: prior food service or long term care dietary experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Deliver and serve meals to patients/residents in dining area.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments and record substitutions as directed.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
