Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a PRN hospital food service assistant to support light meal preparation, stocking, and tray assembly for patients. You will deliver meals on time, assist with catering, and maintain high sanitation standards in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include accurate tray preparation, menu input to leadership, and daily cleaning while providing courteous service to patients and staff.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for light food preparation, putting away storeroom stock, pushing carts to food pantry's, units, or catering functions, washing dishes, traying food for patients and assigned cleaning of the kitchen.

What you will do

• Prepare food items for patients, cafeteria, and catering.
• Meet standards established by Leadership for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Accurately preparing patients trays.
• Deliver all products according to time schedule set for the specific item.
• Make recommendations to Leadership for all menus.
• Complete daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.
• Responsible for delivering excellent customer service by utilizing the appropriate scripts developed for Food and Nutrition Services.
