Job summary

Avera is seeking a PRN Food Service Worker to support light food preparation, stocking, and tray assembly in the hospital kitchen. You will deliver meals on schedule, maintain sanitation, and work with a multidisciplinary team to serve patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for patients, cafeteria, and catering.
• Meet standards established by Leadership for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Accurately preparing patients trays.
• Deliver all products according to time schedule set for the specific item.
• Make recommendations to Leadership for all menus.
• Complete daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service by utilizing the scripts developed for Food and Nutrition Services.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for light food preparation, putting away storeroom stock, pushing carts to food pantry's, units, or catering functions, washing dishes, traying food for patients and assigned cleaning of the kitchen.
