Grady Health System is seeking an Interpreter Advocate to support language access and patient relations in the Emergency Department. You will interpret accurately, assist with advocacy, and coordinate customer service improvements for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years' healthcare experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Two or more years' advocacy experience with two years of college coursework.
• One or more years' interpretation experience (telephonic, video, or in-person).
• Experience in a culturally diverse clinical setting is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop proactive ED customer service to minimize service recovery needs.
• Facilitate resolution of ED complaints with tracking and analysis.
• Rounds on ED patients, including those with extended LOS.
• Coordinate service recovery with the hospital patient care advocate.
• Provide a service experience that exceeds expectations and improves CSAT.
• Communicate effectively with ED staff and providers.
• Validate staff rounding with positive feedback loops.
• Coordinate patient callbacks for discharged patients.
• Perform patient hourly rounds in pediatrics, main, and express care areas.
• Provide language services information to staff and patients.
• Assist with scheduling and provision of language services (SPAN/ASL/other).
• Document interpretation sessions and maintain charting accuracy.
• Ensure use and access to video remote interpretation devices as needed.
