Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in culturally diverse health care environment preferred.
• Must pass Interpreter Skills Test with required terminology accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret accurately for LEP patients, staff, and providers.
• Provide access information about language services to staff and patients.
• Assist with scheduling language services for Spanish, ASL and other languages.
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff and volunteers.
• Document sessions and update records for monthly reports.
• Pursue ongoing medical terminology and interpreting skills development.
