Northwest Respiratory Services in Eagan, Minnesota is seeking a Patient Intake Specialist. You will be the first point of contact, set up initial equipment and orders, verify insurance coverage, and support customers over the phone.

This role requires empathy, accuracy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, on-site, with an hourly pay of $20.00 to $22.00 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Understanding of HIPAA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Punctuality and dependability with a stable work history.
• Good judgment in handling phone calls appropriately and empathetically.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent telephone and typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with new customers to set up their initial equipment and supply orders.
• Multi‑task to manage a high volume of calls and faxed orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers such as branch managers, nursing home staff, and hospitals.
• Collaborate with other Intake Specialists to share best practices and complete workload.
• Gain knowledge in respiratory equipment and interpret it to customers in an understandable way.
