Position Summary

The Patient Food Hospitality Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Orlando Health patients and guests, ensuring a memorable food and dining experience.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  1. Displays excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, nursing staff, and visitors.
  2. Delivers proper trays to the correct patients using appropriate customer service techniques.
  3. Supports the nutritional needs of patients as part of the Orlando Health team.
  4. Arranges trays on delivery carts and logs delivery times.
  5. Logs tray locations and ensures timely delivery to patients.
  6. Collects money for guest trays and records transactions with the diet office.
  7. Removes soiled trays from floors and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
  8. Coordinates tray delivery with the expeditor and diet office as needed.
  9. Assists with expediting trays, checking for accuracy and completeness.
  10. Monitors patient diet prescriptions, order changes, and quality standards.
  11. Accurately takes and verifies patient menus according to physician diet orders.
  12. Respects food allergies, intolerances, and preferences, modifying diets with the diet office’s assistance.
  13. Models excellent service behaviors, communicating openly, honestly, and compassionately with all stakeholders.
  14. Interacts appropriately with a diverse patient population.
  15. Follows chain of command for departmental concerns.
  16. Maintains regular, punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies and relevant regulations.
  17. Ensures compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Education/Training: Ability to read, recognize similarities and differences in words and numbers, write simple correspondence, and respond to inquiries or complaints.
