Position Summary
The Patient Food Hospitality Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Orlando Health patients and guests, ensuring a memorable food and dining experience.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Displays excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, nursing staff, and visitors.
- Delivers proper trays to the correct patients using appropriate customer service techniques.
- Supports the nutritional needs of patients as part of the Orlando Health team.
- Arranges trays on delivery carts and logs delivery times.
- Logs tray locations and ensures timely delivery to patients.
- Collects money for guest trays and records transactions with the diet office.
- Removes soiled trays from floors and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
- Coordinates tray delivery with the expeditor and diet office as needed.
- Assists with expediting trays, checking for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitors patient diet prescriptions, order changes, and quality standards.
- Accurately takes and verifies patient menus according to physician diet orders.
- Respects food allergies, intolerances, and preferences, modifying diets with the diet office’s assistance.
- Models excellent service behaviors, communicating openly, honestly, and compassionately with all stakeholders.
- Interacts appropriately with a diverse patient population.
- Follows chain of command for departmental concerns.
- Maintains regular, punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies and relevant regulations.
- Ensures compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Training: Ability to read, recognize similarities and differences in words and numbers, write simple correspondence, and respond to inquiries or complaints.
