Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and how to collaborate with each patient, family and designated care partner in care and care planning.
• Cultural awareness and ability to connect effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts and tools; ability to communicate with patients and families and delegate appropriately.
• Knowledge of patient assessment and care and ability to implement a treatment plan.
• Knowledge of patient and designated care partner education.
• Knowledge of medication administration and prescription processes for continuing treatment.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and arranging follow-up care with patients and families.
• Knowledge of assessment and diagnosis tools and clinical judgment; ability to analyze symptoms and propose resolutions.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and proper medical record keeping.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
• Active RN license in state of practice (e.g., PA)
