Job summary

Banner Health's New River Trails-Imaging Center is seeking a Med Imaging Assistant to support technologists, prepare exam rooms, and assist with patient care coordination in Glendale, AZ. The role involves scheduling, data entry, and ensuring smooth patient flow in a fast-paced imaging department.

Responsibilities include room preparation, patient intake, charting, and assisting with IVs and post-procedure activities under supervision. Day shift with varied duties across imaging support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Certification for BLS is required.
• Must be able to exercise good judgment and communicate effectively.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.
• Knowledge of commonly used office software and keyboarding skills.
• Good organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists and/or nurses with non-technical duties in the department.
• Greet patients, staff and the public; answer calls and schedule appointments.
• Enter patient information into the computer and manage PACS-related tasks.
• Process patient discharges, verify demographics and insurance information.
• Prepare exam rooms, assist with pre/post procedure setup, and stock supplies.
• Support patient care coordination and documentation in the patient record.
