Job summary

UHC in California seeks a front office Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients at our health centers, handling calls, check-ins, and data entry with empathy.

The role requires 2 years in healthcare preferred, HS diploma, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, driver’s license, and strong customer service and computer skills. We offer comprehensive benefits and a starting wage of $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED is required.
• Completed training program in Medical Office Assisting from Accredited College, preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.
• Possess a valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt clerical support; promotes a smooth patient flow; collects and records data accurately; maintains order of the front office, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures the organization’s mission to provide health care access; helps patients and families get care when they need it.
• Communicates openly with supervisor and staff.
• Works flexible or extended hours as necessary.
• Participates in health center in-services and meetings; listens and respects others’ ideas.
• Abides by Rules of Confidentiality.
