Job summary

WVU Medicine Golisano Children's is seeking a Security Associate to provide information and assistance to patients, visitors and staff, and to enforce hospital security policies. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and certification in BLS or HeartSaver First Aid within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility at assigned locations to assist patients, visitors and staff with information.
• Provide information/assistance in a courteous manner.
• Transport services, wheelchair assistance and escort services as needed.
• Monitor traffic flow in parking areas and issue permits where required.
• Assist in preventing accidents and theft per policy.
• Conduct routine building rounds and door unlocks.
• Document activities, incidents and safety data clearly.
