Job summary

Westborough-Behaviora is seeking a Food Service Worker to serve meals to patients and assist with dietary plans, ensuring proper food is provided and quality service is maintained.

This per diem position requires the ability to work weekends, maintain hygiene standards, and operate kitchen equipment. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with flexibility and independence in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions and meet deadlines
• Must be able to finish all food preparation at specified serving time
• Must be flexible in work hours to meet patient/organization needs
• Must be able to use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers and dishwashers
• Knowledge of hygiene factors involved in food preparation
• Knowledge of cleaning products and methods for surfaces
• Must be able to work independently for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Participate in provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff and guests
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area
• Handle, store, label, and rotate all products in compliance with state laws
• Assist the Director of Food Services with kitchen duties as assigned
• Work weekends as needed
• Support independent, result-driven work in a restricted environment
