Riverside Health System in Smithfield, Virginia, is seeking a Cook/Food Service Worker to support meal services for patients and guests. You will prepare hot and cold menu items, manage portion control, and uphold food safety and sanitation standards to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Under supervision of Food & Nutrition leadership, you will contribute to a safe work environment and patient satisfaction.

Formación

• 1 year food preparation experience preferred.
• 1 year culinary experience preferred.
• Allergen Awareness Certification (VA) or equivalent may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare food items for patient and non-patient food services following production plans and recipes to ensure high quality items.
• Maintain knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance to prevent cross-contamination or illness.
• Ensure timely, accurate meal service to patients, residents, and customers.
• Follow therapeutic menus and allergy guidelines to ensure safety and nutritional care.
• Prepare special request items and assist with plating and serving on trays and cafeteria lines.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment, ensuring proper storage and sanitation.
