Job summary

Serova, a patient-centric biotech startup, seeks a bioinformatician to design and operate patient-specific analysis workflows. You will work closely with patients and clinicians, tailoring analyses to individual data, and turning complex results into understandable insights that guide treatment decisions.

You will monitor sequencing results across time, identify meaningful patterns, and collaborate with the clinical team to propose personalized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics or computational biology, or 3+ years doing it in industry.
• Hands-on experience with real patient sequencing data: WES, WGS or RNA-seq.
• Comfortable with software engineering: you write production-quality code, not only one-off scripts.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or London, or willing to relocate.
• Authorized to work in the US or UK, or a realistic path to get there.

Responsibilities

• Build custom analysis workflows for each patient
• Monitor and analyze patient sequencing and test results over time
• Help find personalized treatments and build treatment plans with our clinical team
• Answer ad hoc questions from patients and physicians quickly, and explain the results clearly
