Job summary

The MaineHealth Patient Financial Services Associate II operates in a remote capacity to manage specific patient accounting tasks, including billing, training, and follow-up/denial resolution of insurance claims within filing limits to support the proper account completion and closure.

Qualified candidates will have at least one year in a related healthcare field, HS diploma or GED preferred, and prior hospital or provider-based billing experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Competency in all essential functions of a Patient Financial Services Associate I role.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient billing tasks and follow-up related to insurance claims.
• Provide training and support to team members as needed.
• Resolve denials within filing limits to ensure account closure.

The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
