Applicants should have 3–5 years in insurance verification and precertification in a medical setting; High School diploma or GED required. Proficiency with Greenway and Microsoft Office is expected.

Formación

• 3-5 years of insurance verification, prior authorization, and precertification experience in a medical setting.
• Gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Computer literate; able to type 40 wpm; proficient with practice and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilidades

• Verify and document benefits for endoscopy and hospital procedures; manage referrals/authorizations (avg 23+ verifications/day).
• Monitor status of pending accounts; notify staff of postponements or cancellations.
• Maintain error rate under 2% of total volume over prior 2 quarters.
• Answer internal FC phone line and assist with verification and billing issues.
• Set up payment plans for self-pay patients or large balances.
• Assist with FC Patient Voicemail, Patient Portal tasks, and information requests.
• Complete special verification assignments; calculate and notify patients of payments, balances, and deposits due.
• Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information per United Digestive, LLC requirements.
• Abide by HIPAA; participate in staff meetings and marketing activities.
