• Interviews patients to determine financial status and arranges direct payment or enrollment in programs.
• Completes Medical Financial Assistance applications based on patient data.
• Provides guidance to support staff and physicians on new processes.
• Acts as patient advocate and refers to external social services.
• Coordinates with admissions/registration for alternate payer identification.
