Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Financial Assistance Representative to process financial assistance applications, patient admissions, and registration. The role verifies eligibility for programs like Medicaid and Charity Care and coordinates with the Patient Access team and other departments to maximize hospital payments.

The successful candidate will work under supervision after a six-week training, pass annual recertification with 90%+, and maintain accuracy and KPI targets while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete Presumptive Eligibility certification within three months of start.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; read, understand, and apply policies and guidelines.
• 0-1 year experience in Healthcare relevant customer service environment.
• Knowledge of general computer and data entry functions.
• Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to keep up in very fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process financial assistance applications and patient admissions/registration.
• Verify eligibility for programs (Medicaid, Charity Care) and third party payer accounts.
• Collaborate with Patient Access and other departments to maximize payments.
• Maintain HIPAA/privacy compliance and pass required trainings and tests.
