Job summary

You will secure payment arrangements, assist with financing and financial assistance, and audit bills to improve collections. Strong communication and knowledge of billing basics are essential; HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification within one

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years in Patient Access or Patient Accounting for hospital registration/reimbursement.
• Certification in HFMA CRCR and/or NAHAM CHAA required within 1 year of hire.
• Understanding of basic billing and coding.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on cost of treatment, insurance benefits, and payment options.
• Secure and document payment arrangements with patients or representatives.
• Assist with financing, payment plans, and financial assistance options across the organization.
• Audit bills for accuracy and reduce front-end write-offs to improve collections.
• Collaborate with Revenue Site Operations and Patient Financial Services to improve collections.
